THE POWER OF HEALING THROUGH ACCEPTANCE
AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE I was speaking to a client after a Holistic Pulsing session last week and we were discussing the attributes and benefits of this amazing therapy. We agreed it creates a wonderful opportunity to allow the body and mind to relax and soak up the nurturing and unconditional love energy of this gentle rhythmic healing therapy. The bottom line is, and if you think about it, our bodies are deprived of and ultimately crave unconditional love and acceptance. When it does not receive this attention it calls for help. If we are not listening it will scream for our attention and boy do we listen! Our body needs to be acknowledged for its loyalty, patience and love for us. What do we feed it but misuse and abuse? Holistic Pulsing is one way to gift our body the love and attention it needs. There are no demands or force being applied. Holistic Pulsing does not even ask for changes, it is a process that gently unfolds awareness, insights and deep understanding of the self. HP centres and grounds our body. If we are uncentered and unbalanced we can easily attract sickness, suffering, trauma and hardship into our life. Our body is a storehouse of lifes experience, lessons, emotions and knowledge. If we listen closely, our body will always tell the truth, it will signal that all is not well by indicating tension, aches, pain and various other symptoms. How often do we stop to listen, really listen to what our body is telling us? Our body continues to sustain our beating hearts, breathing lungs. It continually works healing and repairing cells combating illness and virus; always searching for homeostasis balance. We are all aware our body is naturally attuned to earth and universal energies we know all there is to know but how many of us are afraid to acknowledge this ability? And how many of us realise at a later point that our gut feeling around a situation, person or feeling was right? Too few of us have been encouraged to go with our gut feelings and follow what is truly right for us. We have cut ourselves off from our body, preferring instead to work with the mind. We find fault with our body not trusting, believing it will let us down, give us away somehow. Do you realise we are actually depriving and causing energy blocks by doing this. We are constricting our body by not allowing it to take its full deep breath. We hold our tongue, do not express our needs, we dont speak up .. We are always being nice to other people, laughing when we may feel sad inside, attending to their needs when we need to be nurtured, neglecting ourselves by attending to others. Yet we criticise ourselves and feed our own body with negative and unacceptable attitudes guilt, fear, anger, irritation, stress, grief, despair and depression .. Where does it all go? It is banked into our body, the Storehouse for all that negativity. No wonder our body is crying out for love and attention!! The old adage Love thy neighbour as you love yourself doesnt really fit. If you are a perfectionist, then you have expectations of others to be perfect. If you feel you arent good enough, nobody else will be. This is judgement not acceptance and definitely not unconditional love. The best gift we can give someone is to love ourselves unconditionally. Some of the greatest lessons and healing we can give each other is to be loving, happy, accepting and joyful. How easy is it for you to love yourself unconditionally? Really think about this . Do you continue to put conditions on yourself by saying ..yes but If only . When I ?? What about support and encouragement? What happens when you cant take it any more? Are you able to encourage yourself to go on? Can you praise yourself for a job well done? Are you able to enjoy yourself, feel pleasure without guilt? Forgive yourself without reservation? We all know how easy it is to put ourselves down, but what about building ourselves up? We dont get too much practice at that do we?? And so the blockages continue to build within our body ..block upon block. Holistic Pulsing can assist in taking back ownership of our body. Instead of re-enforcing the myth that a therapist/practitioner has all the answers and will make it right, the client is encouraged to recognise their own power and ownership of their body. They come to realise that they are capable of healing themselves. The first step in taking full responsibility of yourself is to realise that you always have a choice; whether it is a reaction to events in your life, feelings, moods and other states. Now for a small experiment - in front of a mirror, look directly into your eyes and say the following out loud with conviction: I HAVE TOTAL CHOICE AND POWER OVER MY LIFE! How does that make you feel? Empowered!! YES!!! Or difficult to believe and accept fully? You bet!! It takes a brave person to take total responsibility for their life and experience of it. With willingness to grow, acceptance and commitment to love yourself unconditionally, this will happen. You will find in time that you have total choice and power over your life. Acceptance is foremost important to our healing. We have judged, demanded and been violent with our selves and others for so long, the time has now come to heal not through force, but through softness and unconditional love. Holistic Pulsing can help reach and melt most of these stubborn blockages we accumulate in life through its total softness and non-violence. Since total forcelessness offers nothing to resist against it is literally irresistible. Michelle Gunn is a Holistic Pulsing practitioner based in the Gold Coast region of Queensland, Australia.
